About
Callum joined Seven Consulting Melbourne team in August 2023. Callum brings valuable past experiences, both in project management and in the professional sporting environment. He is now seeking to further develop his career and grow his management capabilities. Key Achievements:
At Woolworths Callum worked with the PMO team to manage numerous deliverables including creating and updating project roadmaps, creating, and updating schedules using Microsoft Project, running health checks on new and existing schedules, updating dashboards using data sourced from various business locations, managing risks and issues including facilitating fortnightly RAID meetings, and assisting with the delivery of accurate and up to date status reports.
At Seven Consulting, Callum has completed the Graduate program designed to enhance the core Project Management & PMO Governance skills amongst the people who are experienced in their individual professional fields. By completing the graduate program, Callum gained further theoretical and practical knowledge on different aspects of project management by going through different sessions and exercises with domain experts. The program has allowed Callum to develop his skills and confidence level in using PM tools (like MS Project, JIRA etc.), techniques and soft skills.
As an estimator/supervisor at Johns Lyng Group (JLG), Callum was responsible for Project Managing the delivery of a portfolio of small insurance claims, generally ranging from $5,000 to $100,000. At any one-time Callum would handle 20-25 projects around Tasmania, maintaining a high level of communication between the respective trades, customers, and insurance companies. Other responsibilities included tracking financials, estimating cost and duration of projects, maintaining project schedules, providing resources, meeting KPI’s and providing status updates to stakeholders. Key clients at JLG included Suncorp, RACT and Youi.
As an athlete Callum represented Australia at the junior level on two occasions. His sporting pursuit allowed him to venture abroad to the United States where he studied and competed, receiving full scholarships for his athletic participation. Callum now competes at the semi-professional level whilst working at Seven Consulting.
